April and Scott are expecting their first baby this March. I wasn’t about to pass up the chance to shoot such an awesome couple’s maternity session, so I suckered April into letting us come down for the weekend. Not really – we’ve been planning the session for a couple of months. But it was the perfect excuse to see April and Scott and to let the boys fish. They live in this incredible little community that was full of great places to shoot. I think we could have spent all week there and still not taken it all in.
Ashley and Mike made the 3+ hour trek to be there. Ashley did a fabulous job as my make-shift assistant. If you ever need someone to hand you lenses and ooh and aah while you take pictures, Ashley is your girl!
I’m really happy with how these all turned out. Here a just a tiny sneak peek from the weekend to hold us all over until I can get the rest posted. Note: If you are easily offended by the lucky few who rock an awesome body while 7 months pregnant, then you may want to not go any further - consider yourself warned.

Oh my gosh, those teeny tiny baby shoes are adorable!

On Sunday afternoon the weather cleared up and all six of us braved the cold to get one last round of outdoor portraits. Mike had the great idea to prop the camera on the staircase that led down to the pier so we could get a group shot.

The boys were such good sports about the whole picture-taking thing, so I have to show them some love too.

A BIG thanks to April and Scott for being such gracious hosts. We had so much fun. I’m looking forward to meeting the little one when we come back for his newborn session!
