Back in May while on a beach vacation with Allen’s family, I met up with my dear friend Ashley and her nephew Tripp for a quick session in Alys Beach. Tripp is such a cool kid. He was totally down with whatever we suggested. Tripp, let’s swing on the swing. Tripp, let’s walk down to the beach. Tripp, sit over here; sit over there; look at this; look at THAT. He was so good that I had to keep reminding myself that he is only two-and-a-half.
This first is a favorite of mine. Look at those big blue eyes! Someone needs to put this kiddo on a BIG canvas right in the middle of their wall. Hint, hint.

Alys Beach has this cool little playground with a playhouse, swings and a big grassy green mound called Fonville Hill. Like I mentioned last time, if you’ve never been by, it is worth the short drive out to see. It is a beautiful place.

I LOVE the next two shots. There is nothing cuter than two little pint-sized Crocs.

After we wore ourselves out playing at Alys Beach, we drove to Seaside for lunch at the Taco Bar. Yum! Tripp ordered a Cherry Sprite and the bartender made it right there in front of us. I know what you are thinking — it’s called the Taco Bar, and the drinks were made by a bartender, but no, we did NOT take a child to an actual bar. It is more like a family friendly taco hut. I think Tripp enjoyed the Cherry Sprite, don’t you?

It was a fun day. And judging by the sweet little snore that Tripp fell into when we got back home, I think he would agree.
