Late one night a few weeks ago my phone rang. It was my friend Jill. It was a little later than it should have been for a quick hello, so I anxiously answered the call. The first thing she said was, “I got… ENGAGED!” — What?!
I am so excited for Jill and Nathan. Jill is my oldest and dearest friend. We met back in fourth grade when we were on Safety Patrol together (basically our elementary school’s version of hall monitor) and have been close friends ever since. She was the Maid of Honor in my own wedding, and I am proud to return the favor for her next spring. She and Nathan met during our infamous RV trip to Auburn in 2006. Through a series of chance encounters and mutual friends, they were reintroduced a few weeks later and officially became an item. I have loved Nathan from the beginning and think he is the perfect compliment to Jill. I have been their cheerleader from the very beginning and am so happy to see them take the next step. It is going to be one fun year!
On Saturday Jill, Robin and I took a little trip to scope a potential venue for the wedding. It was UH-mazing, and I think we have a winner. Of course it isn’t up to me, and nothing has been finalized, but the pictures below are a pretty good clue as to where it may be. While we were there, we tackled a little wedding-related idea that Jill had. My lips are sealed about the details, but I’ll definitely share with you in a few weeks.

These girls… oh my. We were laughing so hard I was crying. We were seriously less than 50 yards from the main office just taking pictures and acting like we owned the place. I’m pretty sure that if they saw us they were making mental notes to not let us back on property. It was all in good fun and no animals were harmed during production. Check out the BLING on Jill’s left hand.
