Don’t forget, the 500th comment contest is still going strong through the weekend. All you have to do is leave a comment on any of the posts for a chance to win a free photo session or a $50 print credit to be applied to a past or future session. Come on… you know you want to!
I’ve said it before, but I pretty much LOVE to get mail. Unless it is a bill. I don’t love that. Mail is fun. There is just something about opening that little tin can at the end of the driveway and seeing a hand-addressed envelope staring back up at me that makes my heart go pitter-pat. Wedding invitations, thank you cards, my recent order of 5×7 prints, I love them all. Last week I received this sweet baby announcement in the mail:

Isn’t she a doll? I showed it to my husband and said, “Looook! I love this! Isn’t it cuuuute?” I like to drag out my words for effect. His response? – “Did you do that?” Oh he knows me too well. In my defense, my lab sent the announcements directly to Paige, so I hadn’t actually seen a printed copy until it came in the mail. I’m very happy with the way they turned out though. I’m sure it doesn’t have 100% to do with that sweet miss priss on the front though.
We had Amelia’s newborn session when she was just a week old, but I realized when I opened her announcement that I never formally blogged my favorites from her session. She was wide awake the whole time, making it difficult to get the traditional newborn poses. She was much more interested in what we were doing then laying quietly to model. Hey, sometimes it happens like that, and you just have to roll with it. Either way, I think we ended up with some really great shots.

She allllmost fell asleep once or twice, but would catch herself and jerk back awake. Bless her heart, she just wanted to be part of the fun.

I adore her nursery. Paige and Jeremy decided not to find out what they were having, so everything was set up to go either way. This is by far the cutest “neutral” nursery I have ever seen. Props to Paige on that one.

I love this next shot. I never could decide if I liked it better in color or in black & white though. What do you think?
