I am out of town for work this week. I didn’t have a chance to prepare my fun map for you again, but I wanted to share a little of my trip with you. Without my fancy photo editing stuff, these pictures are all straight off the memory card. Don’t judge. I invited Addie to guest blog for me in order to get a different perspective. I hope you enjoy… Addie, take it away!

Hi, I’m Amanda’s friend Addie. We work together, and this week I have the pleasure of spending a few days with Amanda at a trade show in Raleigh, North Carolina. If you’ve ever traveled with Amanda, you know it’s kind of like having your own personal paparazzi. What would normally be a mundane day of work has instead been a mundane day of work in front of a camera! (I promise to try and dress better for you guys tomorrow.)
As trade shows usually do, the day started off with a hitch. We pulled out our fancy-pants LCD TV/DVD combo only to realize the screen was busted. Being the resourceful women that we are, we took a cab to the nearest Best Buy, purchased a new one, and I single-handedly carried it back to the convention center.

Next, we had a tasty sushi lunch in downtown Raleigh, and Amanda took some pretty freaking cool photos of sushi. She may be best known as a wedding photographer, but if you happen to find yourself opening a Japanese restaurant, I would highly recommend her.

Not only does Amanda photograph you wherever you both go, she is a slave driver! First she makes me hold her drink while I cross a busy street, and then she orders me to get on a red scooter that’s parked on the sidewalk. I do, and next thing I know I’m holding the scooter upright because if I let go it will crash to the ground. Somehow I must have bumped it while posing, and I couldn’t get the kickstand to work properly. I really thought I would have to stand there and hold the darn thing until the owner came, but luckily some guy sweeping the street showed me how to straighten the wheel and engage the kickstand. Very complicated stuff.

Don’t be jealous – our day was not all fun and games. When lunch was over, we spent the rest of our afternoon and evening at the convention center enthusiastically promoting one of our all-time favorite products.

Well, thanks for indulging me as a guest blogger. That was fun! Oh, and while I have the keyboard, I’d also like to take this opportunity to give a shout-out to Jamie, Allen, Kristen, Byron and Gravy. We’ll be home soon!
