The town of Mooresville was a perfectly quaint location for Jennifer and Chad’s southern wedding. I was there to second shoot for my new friend Wynter of Wynter Photography, but I left feeling like a close friend of the family! Jennifer and Chad’s family and friends were so welcoming and friendly. They were seriously the nicest people!
The wedding ceremony was held at the Mooresville Old Brick Church. The church is 170 years old! It is such a beautiful old church that has so much character. I kept imagining the generations of godly people who had worshiped within its walls. The only drawback… no central heating on the coldest day we’ve had in months. Brrrrr!

The details were the perfect complement to its old southern charm. What says southern wedding better than hydrangeas in a Mason jar?

Wynter and I made our way back to the house where the bride was getting ready. She hadn’t arrived yet, so we shot details and settled in. I took this next picture as a joke when Wynter went out to the car, but you know what? I ended up really liking it. It looks like the birdie is wearing a little tux.

The main room in the house was this awesome shade of green. Everything was decorated to a tee, and I loved being in here. Do you see my bird?

When we got to the Mooresville Old Brick Church the groom was already there waiting. Look very dapper I might add. He had the biggest smile on his face as he waited for the ceremony to start. I was able to hang outside with everyone before the ceremony. The energy was contagious and the smiles were as big as they come.

I don’t know what it is about this one, but I really like it. After the ceremony, Jennifer and Chad stayed side-by-side.

Look! They are holding hands. I didn’t even notice until now, but how cute is that? They hadn’t seen each other all day, so when the pressure of the ceremony had passed, they were happy just to be together. They were THE MOST laid back bride and groom I have ever been around. These photos were all taken quickly as we walked over to the reception site. We didn’t have much time for photos because the sun was setting and everyone was eager to get to the reception, but what we did get I think turned out so great!
