Amelia and I have struggled with torrential rains interrupting every photography session we plan. Ok, I’m the only one that has struggled. She doesn’t seem to mind so much… It monsooned the day of her newborn photography session, so much so that trees fell in the neighborhood while I was there! And we originally planned her four-month photo session a few Sundays ago, but it poured ALL DAY long. Paige and I watched the weather on the day we rescheduled and made the decision to go for it. It rained on and off my whole way there, but broke just as we were getting out of the car. That pesky rain, I tell you what… But the good news is that the images we captured made it all worth the wait.

The last time I saw Amelia, she was less than two weeks old. I am amazed at how much she has grown in the past few months! She is learning to sit up and is doing so well. It cracks me up how she oh-so-slowly starts to lean after a few seconds.

Sitting up is hard work, so we had a little tummy time. I love this series of expressions.

Paige started a blog while she was pregnant with Amelia and continues to update it for friends and family who are out of town. I am a loyal follower (and commenter!). Paige often refers to Amelia as “Miss Priss” in her posts, which I think is adorable. It totally fits her little personality.

Even though I got muddy as all get out from crawling all over the wet ground, I had so much fun. It is so wonderful to watch all these tiny people grow up around me. I am looking forward to many more photo shoots with Miss Priss, so stay tuned…
