This is one of my favorite families. Jenn and I go way back, and I’ve designated myself as big brother Jackson’s very best friend. I figure he’ll eventually come around and agree. (Probably right about the time he’s old enough to be bribed by suckers and toys!) We originally planned to have a Jackson-only session in the summer, but it had to be postponed. Jenn decided to wait and do a full family session after the new baby was born in October. I’m so glad we waited though because we had the perfect early morning weather, and I was able to get this awesome shot of the family all together.
Baby Jared was born last month and is still so newborn and tiny. He slept for the whole session.
With Jared asleep and the family photography out of the way, I honed in on my BFF Jackson. He was excited to be down from Dad’s lap and running free. Luckily I can run pretty fast too and have an even faster trigger finger. I love these next two of him.
A quick check back on Jared, and yep… still asleep!
Jackson found a big blue ball and the yard, and it was on. He didn’t put it down for the rest of the time.
Our other friend Katie has two boys who are close in age. We have been trying to take a good photo of them together for more than a year, but have never been able to. It’s harder than you’d think to keep a toddler still long enough to pose him with a newborn. I teased Jenn that it would be two years before we’d get a picture of Jackson and Jared together. This was our attempt to get the two of them in the same frame. We asked Jackson to kiss baby brother, and he went for it! I think these next two are priceless.
