whatever it is

The first official business of wedding planning began back in July when Jill, Robin and I went on a location scout. We drove from Leeds to Harpersville to Homewood and back looking at various rehearsal dinner, reception and lodging venues. We spent the day helping Jill envision exactly what she wanted for her and Nathan’s wedding. There was no impatience or boredom as we talked endlessly about details of the big day. Instead we gushed to each other the kind of stuff that only your best friends can appreciate.

We ended the day with dinner and headed back to my house. As we got off the interstate this song came on the radio. The three of us belted out each verse as loudly as we could. It was the perfect way to finish off the day. To this day the song instantly reminds me of Jill and Nathan. As I edited their engagement photos this week, my thoughts kept going back to it. So I did what I do when I can’t get a song out of my head… I made a slideshow. Enjoy!
