Wow! What a crazy fun, filled-with-love, wonderful Christmas we had this year. There was nothing special about it in the sense of what gifts were given and received. Only that we were able to spend a four-day weekend enjoying this beautiful life with our family and friends that we love so much. Here are a few quick shots of Christmas 2009.
We spent Christmas Eve at my dad and step-mother’s house. My brother gave me a sweet cookbook that I love. It really is an awesome compilation of yummy recipes and beautiful photography, and I’ll have to share with you in more detail when things calm down around here.

Allen got a new camera to take with him on his big fishing trip this February. He has been using a hand-me-down Sony POS (as he calls it) for a couple of years, and I’m so glad he finally has a nice camera to show off those pretty fish.

On Christmas day, we camped out at my brother’s house and visited with my mom’s side of the family. These rolls were one of the first things I spotted when I walked in. My grandmother wasn’t there yet, so it must be the handy work of my mom. No matter, they were delicious!

Me and my beautiful cousin Haven. Apparently there was a prize for the best Christmas sweater, but I didn’t thoroughly read my invitation. My bad.

And of course, my canine counter-part, Oakley. THE SWEETEST doggy in the whole wide world. My mom rescued her from an abusive breeder a few years ago, and I love her to pieces. That’s my other beautiful cousin Melissa in the background. She is my most loyal blog reader, so I have to give her a shout out!

On Saturday night, we had our annual girls Christmas party, minus a few key friends. I was setting the timer so I could run over and be in the shot when someone said I should jump up and let them hold me. Silly, silly girls!

Of course it wouldn’t be Christmas without our nephew Cade. We spent Christmas day night (follow?) at Allen’s grandparent’s house and got to test out the video capabilities of my Canon 5d Mark II a little more. It really is so much fun, but the only draw back is that you have to focus it manually. Allen and I shot all of the footage and stills in the video. I’m going to try to do this more often, so look for a lot of it in the new year. Enjoy!

Can you believe the year is almost up? I’m working on a fun year-ender post for New Years Eve, so make sure you check back! See you then.
