Great post! The rule of thirds is a principal in composition applied to other types of media, too. I took a painting class last year and this was a big part of what I took away from it. PS. That baby in the lamb boots gets me every time! So stink’n cute.

Love this post, Amanda! I remember learning this in art classes in both HS and college. It really helps you learn how to take full advantage of your canvas when you’re painting. I even think it helped me with my makeup application. Keep up the great work! You’re a natural.

First of all, I love attending the University of Amanda..it’s my FAVORITE UofA!!! Secondly, I love knowing all your secrets. I can’t believe you do not charge tuition. Just keep it coming and I’ll book with you again soon, I promise. I already have an idea, just haven’t followed through with an email. I’m thinking Sunday afternoon at the church playgroud. Great color and I can totally picture the grid on the slide! See, I’m learning already… The trick is to see if you get as excited to learn what I do! :-), I won’t be offended if you don’t!!!
