Amelia. The happiest baby I know. Truly she is. Even the first time we met she was wide-eyed and alert, not crying — just awake, and wanting to be part of the experience. I have never seen a baby smile and laugh as much as this one. And cuu-ute. My goodness is she cute.

It was cold and raining (of course!) so we held the session in her nursery. I’m loving the nursery shoots during the this winter. It is such a great way to capture little ones in their everyday environment while staying out of the cold! This was my third shoot with Amelia and hands down my favorite. At eight months, she is at such a fun age. She crawled and played and laughed the whole time.

I got a text from Amelia’s mom, Paige, last week saying she couldn’t resist buying a gigantic pink tutu she found while out shopping. It – was – awesome. Amelia didn’t seem to mind the layers of tulle that were collectively bigger than she was. The tulle bunched together between her legs and feet as she crawled leaving a giant pink puff behind her. I loved everything about it. And how stinkin’ sweet is this next one? She looks like a magazine cover for Baby Ballerina, don’t you think?

And of course we couldn’t forget the family photos. In an effort to not torture Jeremy, it was three locations, less than ten minutes, boom we’re done.

We took it outside in the freezing cold for a few quick shots. In an attempt to make it fast, I left my jacket inside. That means we were only out there for literally 90 seconds, but it was SO worth it. Luckily Amelia is a hot-natured child. See the smile? I think she secretly loved it. — Or maybe she really is the happiest baby I know!!
