One of my favorite things about doing what I do is photographing the same families time after time. Although it had only been a few months since my last portrait session with this family, I was excited when they invited Allen and me up to their property on the river. It was quite a little haul up there, but so totally worth the drive when we walked out onto the river bed and began taking the photos. There is nothing better than having a session in a location that means something to a family, especially when it’s that unique. Everyone was relaxed and having fun, and I could have shot out there for hours!

I love this one of Chandler. Last time I saw him he was more five-year-old silly faces than smiles. We still have our share of silly photos, but I was able to catch a few really genuine smiles too! Oh, and major props to Allen who babysat my back up camera and captured the second photo of Chandler sitting on the rocks while I was photographing the girls. Such a great candid moment…

Miranda’s friend Brittany was there with her family, so of course we had to get some photos of the two of them together. Love these!

Just like at our last session, my favorite photos are of the four kids together. By the way, how cute are all of their plaid shorts? : )

While I was shooting the two photos above, Allen caught this from the side. I love the side perspective and am so glad he was there to help mix it up.
