There are some couples who I really like to photograph. Julie and Daniel are one of them. When I first met this sweet couple back in March to talk about their wedding, they mentioned a fun “family” photo shoot with their two dog-children, Harper and Sumomo. I was so happy when I got an e-mail from Julie a few weeks ago asking if they could take me up on that “family” session. It is so great to see my brides and grooms post-wedding and catch up on how the married life is treating them. We met at a local park and had a fun time wrangling the puppies and getting some awesome family photos.
Harper is a such a sweet Beagle, but man oh man can she howl. There was another family with a lab down on the grass near us. She let loose with a great big howl, and I can’t believe I caught it like this. It cracks me up everytime I see it!
Before their parents got married, Sumomo lived with Daniel and Harper with Julie. The two dogs get along so well together though and are little buds.
Julie quietly passed off the dogs’ pink pig squeaky toy to me and it was perfect for getting their attention (see below). Ahhh… this one’s a framer!
When Harper and Sumomo were wiped out, we took a few minutes and got some portraits of Julie and Daniel by themselves. This one started as a little bit of an inside joke, but I think it turned out so cute!
