rachael & anna | sisters

I recently had the chance to photograph two sweet sisters, Rachel and Anna. I met up with them at their grandparents home here in Birmingham. I love shooting at a place that is familiar and special to a family. The girls were in their element as we roamed the property swinging on the swing and “talking” to the horses.

Rachel is a beautiful child with a soft demeanor. She was slow to open up, but I love the cautious curiousity that we were able to capture in her photos.

Like every set of young siblings Rachel and Anna weren’t as excited about sitting together for a photo as their mom and I were. Their mom is a photography enthusiast and told me that she can rarely catch pictures of the two of them together. They’re a little untraditional, but I think we got a lot of cute ones!

Little Anna is a firecracker. She was definitely the smiley, outgoing of the two and really hammed it up for the camera. I had a hard time choosing which of her photos to share here because those big eyes and sweet smile jumped out of every single one.

Dad arrived home from work just as we were finishing up, so we were able to snap a few quick family photos too. Aren’t they a cute family?!
