#33… check!

I added 33. Second shoot with someone I admire to my list of goals thinking that it would be something new and fun to try. But throughout the course of 2010 I realized that there really isn’t one photographer who I admire — there are many. I have met some amazing people and made some dear friends in the short time (relatively speaking) since I started this little photography journey of mine. The talent runs deep among them and whether they are shooting with me, or me with them, I am in awe of the hard work and dedication they put into everything they do. Because of this, I thought it was only fitting to mark another item off my list with a short little tribute.

First up is my friend Alisa Lynn. Alisa was one of my first photographer friends, and I love to shoot with her. We’ve worked together at several weddings this year and always have so much fun! This photo was taken after Amanda and Sergio’s wedding reception back in April.

I was lucky enough to work with my friend Camille a handful of times this year, including Alana and Clay’s wedding. Camille is one of the most on-the-go girls I know, and I am seriously in awe of how she keeps it all straight!

My friend Wynter rocked Crystal and Drew’s wedding with me back in April and Emma was the best assistant! Please ignore my eyebrows in this photo. It had been raining all day and I can’t be held accountable for my appearance, ok?

Even though Allen hasn’t officially been on the ticket as a second shooter, he has been with me at several of my weddings this year to help out. This photo was taken of us at Holland and Zach’s Dallas wedding this past May. He sweated his butt off that day making sure I had everything I needed and even weilded the camera as a back up several times.

Ah… my little dream team of shooters… Taylor Mathis and Erin O’Neil were with me at Lauren and Brett’s Charlotte wedding in June. I oohed and aahed over all of their awesome images in post-process and was so thankful to have them along that day!

The super sweet and ever-so-talented Taylor Haynie was there for Ashley and Austin’s July wedding.

In July, Ravyn Stadick and her husband Jimmy came down from Indianapolis, IN to spend the weekend with us, and Ravyn helped me with Jordan and Matt’s wedding. Jordan graciously invited Jimmy to be Allen’s date to the wedding and requested this photo with them. I couldn’t find the photo I know Ravyn and I took together, so our cute husbands (and beautiful bride) will have to do instead :)

And last but certainly not least, my dear friend Kristen. Alisa took this photo of us at Chris and Susie’s wedding. It makes me laugh. Kristen has been with me at more than half of my weddings in 2010, and I’m positive that there is no way I could have made it through the year without her!

After each wedding I’ve been part of this year, I’ve walked away with a small collection of photos the other photographer took of either my backside or some ridiculous face I made. So I figured while we’re at it I’d include some of those ”behind the scenes” shots that I’ve collected throughout the year — including one gigantic pregnant belly shot from Mary Elizabeth and Robert’s wedding two weekends ago. The photos below were taken by Kristen, Camille, Wynter, Amy Carson (who has been at two weddings with me this year, but for some reason I have no photos with her!), Ravyn and even Allen :)
