My cousin Melissa is having a baby. Woo hoo! Naturally, I was all about helping plan her BABY SHOWER! Melissa is planning a robot-themed nursery inspired by a crib quilt she found in a local store. With the help of Melissa’s friends and family, we were able to pull off a fun robot baby shower for Melissa and her soon-to-be baby boy. A big, huge thanks to my mom who helped host the shower and is the creative behind all of the awesome details at the shower. Created by Deb has done it again!

I had a wild idea that we could make a robot ”diaper cake” in place of the traditional round one. But then I realized how hard it was going to be and bailed on the idea the night before the shower. Luckily my mom was there to step up to the challenge, and created a super cute 3-D diaper version of our robot!

My favorite part — cupcakes! (And cute robot cupcake toppers of course!)

Thanks to Sister Shirts for taking Beck’s nursery/shower theme and creating the onesie and burp cloths below. And by the way, the red bibs are Mum2Mum Wonder Bibs if anyone is interested. They are the best!

It just wouldn’t be a proper baby shower if there weren’t some babies there! Little Oliver is a cutie pie, but I’m sure you can guess which picture is my favorite! :)

Melissa’s friend Shandon is the mastermind behind the robot design. Melissa scanned the original sketch for me, and I had my friend Brittany redraw the robot digitally so we could use it on the invitations and party decor. As if that wasn’t enough, Shandon painted four large canvases as a gift for Melissa to display in the baby’s room. Such a sweet girl!

I wished after my baby shower that I had taken more photos of me with my guests. So I kept my camera slung around my neck to be at Melissa’s beck-and-call anytime she wanted a photo. And then at the end of the party I realized I had taken mostly bust shots of Melissa (sans belly) and her friends. Doh!
