heather and andrew (part two) | birmingham museum of art wedding

If you missed part one of Heather and Andrew’s wedding day, you can see it by clicking here. With the first look and portraits already complete, Heather and Andrew were able to sit back and relax during the break before the wedding ceremony started. Several people stopped by the bridal suite to wish Heather well and comment on how the church was filling up. If there were nerves, Heather wasn’t letting on. I always love the moment between the bride and her father before she walks down the aisle. Heather shushed her dad’s private comments to keep from tearing up and smiled the whole way down to the alter.

I was behind Heather and Andrew on their way to the wedding reception and caught this through my windshield at a red light. One of my favorites for sure!

The wedding reception was held at the Birmingham Museum of Art in downtown Birmingham. It was a wonderful venue for a wedding reception and the perfect spot to compliment the feel of Heather and Andrew’s day. From everything I had heard, Heather’s aunt and cousins put in a lot of thought and time into decorating the space, and I absolutely loved what they did. They pulled Heather’s fuchsia and gray color scheme together in such a flawless and classy way. Everything was beautiful!

Quesadilla bar? Yes please!

The floor of the museum was jam packed full of family and friends supporting the newlyweds. Lots and lots of smiley, happy faces!

Michael Warren and his band rocked it out! They did such a great job and had the dance floor packed from the first few songs. You’ll see a glimpse of it in the collage below, but one of the best moments of the night was when Andrew’s dad was called to the stage to rap for the crowd! Seriously, such a fun reception. Check out the packed dance floor below!
