We took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch yesterday. For the third year, we visited Old Baker Farm in Harpersville. Want to walk down memory lane with me? The first year, I went with my cousin Melissa while I was pregnant with Ava and knew it was a tradition I wanted to continue. In 2011, Allen and I took our new baby back to the farm for our first visit as a family. This year, we were joined by our good friends Michael and Lindsey and their new addition, Reese. The family that owns the farm are such gracious hosts and that particular patch has become our favorite fall destination.
With unintentional perfect timing, we arrived right as they opened for the afternoon. We were one of only a few families there and pretty much had the place to ourselves for the majority of our visit. Ava is the perfect age to start enjoying outings like this, and it was so fun to watch her explore and discover all of the “pop-pop” we saw (the pumpkins). Little Reese was less than thrilled, but we were so happy to have her along! (Oh and p.s. Ava has a black eye thanks to the sharp corner of a big box. I forgot to Photoshop it out of most of these images, so ignore the inconsistency of my child’s precious face!)

I love so many of the images from our visit to the pumpkin patch, but this might be my favorite. I didn’t realize that Allen was taking it and am so happy to have a full body shot of just me and my two girls!

Like I mentioned, I was pregnant with Ava during my first trip to the pumpkin patch in 2010. I have photos similar to these from that time too and had to make sure to squeeze one in there for our new baby. It’s fun to think of bringing her along with us next year too!
