I have been blessed in life with an amazing group of girlfriends. The kind whose friendship goes so far back in time that I can barely remember life before they were there. Robin is one of those friends. Memories of her friendship are scattered throughout my childhood, teen years and adult life. Robin is the ultimate go-with-the-flow kind of girl. She is up for anything and is there with a smile on her face.  She has always been one of the happiest people I know.

And then last year, she met Joey. And in the weeks and months that followed, the real Robin came to the surface — it was a Robin that only love could reveal. I have never seen her more radiant and graceful in all of our years of friendship. For the first time, I am seeing true love and happiness bubble to the surface. It is the most genuine kind that you couldn’t hide if you tried. And she absolutely deserves it.

Robin and Joey were married this past Sunday at Avondale Villa in Birmingham. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better day for this sweet couple to say I do. In typical Robin fashion, the day was so relaxed and stress-free, capped off by the gathering of family and friends who adore them. I can’t help but smile when I look through the wedding images. I am so happy for my friend and her new husband and so honored that they let me document the start of their lives together. Congratulations you two. I love you!
