When Ava was born in 2011, Allen and I stepped skeptically into the decision to have her birth photographed. Although I had been part of the experience for others, I just wasn’t 100-percent sure that it was something I wanted for myself. But the photographs we have from her birth are some of my most treasured, and I have never once regretted our decision! Since that time I have photographed almost a dozen more births for friends and clients and have become passionate about preserving those first moments. When it came time to plan for our new baby’s arrival, I knew without a doubt that I wanted our photographer there with us again.
Anna’s birth story could be summed up in one word: QUICK. We went from zero to sixty in the blink of an eye, and she was in our arms just a short 15 minutes later. Time both flew and stood still for me, but in the whirlwind of delivery I feel like I missed so much of what was going on. In the days and weeks (and now months!) since Anna was born, the memories I do have of the day have begun to fade. Seeing them again through Wynter’s point of view brings the emotions flooding back. These images mean the world to us, and I am so happy to add them to our family album.
A huge thank you once again to Wynter for sacrificing her time to be with our family. She has captured so many special times for us in the last few years, and we are forever grateful. Also, I have to give a special shout out to the wonderful nurses who took care of us while we were in the hospital. We were so fortunate to have many of the same nurses care for both of our girls, and having them included in our experience (and the slideshow!) holds a special place for me. We love you all!
