I am still struck at how seamlessly it all came together — two families and a multitude of friends from two different parts of the country, uniting for one day to celebrate the marriage of Heather and Brandon. When it was all said and done, I couldn’t wipe the stupid grin off my face. I loved seeing Heather and Brandon so happy and wish them all the best as they start their lives together!
The atmosphere in the bridal suite at Independent Presbyterian Church was nothing but cool, calm and collected this past Saturday when I arrived for Heather and Brandon’s wedding. Heather’s laid back style set the tone for the rest of their perfect day as we breezed through portraits into a beautiful ceremony at the same church Brandon’s parents married years before.
Heather’s dress from Carriage House Weddings in Homewood was stunning. The beaded belt she added at the end was perfection!
With all of the wedding portraits finished, Heather and Brandon were able to relax before the ceremony started. I love those moments that lead up to the start of the wedding ceremony when everyone is gathered around getting out their nervous energy. These are some of my favorite images from the day.
Heather and Brandon’s wedding reception was held at Park Lane in Mountain Brook, Alabama. It was my first time shooting there and all night I wondered how I’d been missing out on this place. Kathy G and her staff did a phenomenal job. From the layout to the decor, it was THE perfect place for a wedding reception.
Can I please just take a minute to tell you how AWESOME Heather and Brandon’s band was. The guys of Total Assets were so much fun and had the crowd on the dance floor all.night.long. There are a few bands from wedding receptions that stick out in my mind, and this is definitely going to be one of them.
