In 2009 when I photographed a then-single Jamey and her Basset Hound baby Abbey she told me, “When I get married someday, I want you to photograph my wedding.” We could never have known that less than six months later, she and Newman would meet, fall in love and set plans into motion for Jamey’s dream wedding.
I had been looking forward to seeing Jamey and finally meeting Newman for months. Without realizing the date, Jamey and I planned their engagement session exactly two years to the day from their first date. I love spending Jamey and Newman’s “anniversary” with them and am so excited about their wedding this May.

Jamie is one of the sweetest people you could know. I love seeing her so happy with Newman.

A big thanks to the fabulous Brittany Benton for Jamey’s beautiful hair and makeup.

How sweet is this story? On the way to meet me Monday, Newman asked Jamey why she didn’t buy a string of pearls to wear for their engagement photos. “Yeah right,” Jamey said as she reminded how hard (and expensive!) it is to find nice pearls on short notice. “Well then, here.” Newman smiled as he handed her a box with a brand new necklace inside. It was a surprise anniversary present that completed Jamey’s look. They were perfect.
